Health and Safety

Safety is paramount at DBS which is why our employees are fully prepared with all the necessary accreditations, as well as being provided with additional HSE training such as: S.P.A, IPAF and IOSH. We regularly update our employees training and certification to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. Below are details of all of the Health and Safety training and accreditations we carry at DBS.

Full Risk Assessments and Safety Method Statements are expertly constructed by our own NEBOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager for each individual job; ensuring peace of mind for our clients.

The UKPIA SPA passport is the industry recoginsed qualification within the petroleum sector. Having an SPA passport means our operatives have the specialist health and safety training necessary to undertake works on live petrol filling stations; Allowing them to work safely in this particularly hazardous construction environment.

IPAF License

All our operatives hold IPAF licences. IPAF promotes safe and effective use of powered access equipment, something DBS use daily. Being IPAF trained means our staff are licenced to operate scissor lifts and cherry pickers to an internationally recognised industry standard.

PASMA Trained

PASMA are an international organisation for the mobile access tower industry. DBS use mobile scaffold towers frequently and we want to ensure our staff are safe when they do so. PASMA provide the industry standard training scheme and provide safety related knowledge, information and guidance about mobile tower assembly and use.

NEBOSH is a leading global organisation which provides health, safety and environmental qualifications. An internationally recognized qualification that our own Health and Safety manager holds. Having an independent health and safety advisor who regularly audits DBS, sets standards high for HSE and raises competence throughout the company as a whole.

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme provide proof that our on-site employees have appropriate training and qualifications for the practical work they undertake. An appropriately qualified workforce improves standards and safety on high-risk construction sites. Many organisations won’t allow workers onsite without this qualification.

First Aid

Our employees receive regular first aid training. We always have at least one member of staff who is  first aid trained at any job to be at hand in the event of an emergency. This is in order to protect, not only our staff but, members of the public who may be present too.
